Important Calendar Information
Teachers should review this calendar prior to committing to the WSI teacher training so each individual is aware of the live attendance expectations for the entire training year. The WSI teacher should not be assigned to other duties that conflict with the live attendance requirements noted on the calendar. Teachers should avoid planning vacations or other activities that are in conflict with the calendar unless arrangements are made to have online access while traveling. Because not all schools have the same vacation periods, it is impossible to avoid having requirements that fall during spring or other breaks. Teachers will still be expected to participate in assignments during breaks or vacations, so plans should be made that allow for this. Since this is primarily an online program, teachers can use a laptop with internet access to participate in the online units when traveling. The online units are self paced. The recommended interval for most online units is two weeks with a new online unit beginning as the previous unit ends. All recommended start dates and completion dates are specified on the calendar.
